Welcome to our Queer Yoga community!

Queer Yoga open to everyone!

Our community is for LGBTQ+ people, including trans, non-binary and gender diverse folx, to practice more accessible yoga in a group setting. We are a team of community yoga teachers who believe we should all feel safe, welcomed and celebrated through our yoga practice.

We run multiple weekly donation based classes in Edinburgh. These follow a mindful movement practice, followed by some time for (optional) tea and a chat. We also host retreats, organise social meet ups and attend events.

For more information on our weekly community classes, head to this page.

If you’d like some more information before coming along to one of our classes or events and can’t find it here on our website, please do get in touch.

Testimonial

“It is the only queer community I am part of and it has made me realise how validating it is to spend time with other lgbtq+ people. The yoga classes themselves have been a really grounding part of my life especially in the last few months where I've had lots of change going on. I really love the option to stay for a cup of tea after class, for me this is the bit that gives space for the creation of community.”

Testimonial

“As a disabled queer person with social anxiety and sensory processing difficulties lots of queer spaces feel overwhelming to me. Queer yoga is great because it allows me to be in a space where I can meet new people at a pace that feels manageable. The teaching has been really wonderful with lots of options so that people with different levels of experience and different bodies can join in. I've never been made to feel odd for practicing in a chair. The space is up some stairs but it has beautiful light and a view into the lovely gardens at the Salisbury Centre so it feels like a very nurturing experience. Overall I am extremely grateful that this affordable and welcoming class exists. Especially at a time when society feels increasingly hostile towards queer people. A big thank you to everyone involved in organising it.’”
